God Wants To Give Everything Good To Us

Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.                             3 John 1:2

3 John verse 2 tells us what the will of God is for human beings: He doesn't want you sick and He doesn't want you broke and He certainly doesn't want you spiritually poor. All three are covered in this verse. Matthew 6:33 tells us seek first the Kingdom of God and all the things we seek will be added to us. And you have to believe that if you want it to work for you by the way; the only part of the Bible that will work for you is the part you believe.

There are two spirits who are blessing people here on the earth. There are two kingdoms, not three, just two and they are the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of satan. Luke the 4th chapter is the account of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness. The devil shows Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and says to Him, "I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish." See, the devil is the master of a kingdom here on earth and you can be blessed by the devil thru his kingdom or you can be blessed by the Father. The Bible tell us we can't serve two masters; you must pick one.

Genesis chapter 13 tells us that Abram was very rich in livestock, silver and in gold. Now, notice it says very rich. How many would have been happy just to see it say rich? Well it says he was very rich and we have no confusion as to who made him rich. In the 24th chapter of Genesis Abraham's servant says this, "The Lord has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich."

If we look at Genesis the 14th chapter we see the account of where Abraham's nephew Lot was captured and Abraham has to go get him. Of course he's successful and when he returns the king of Sodom says to him, "Give the people to me and take the goods for yourself." And look what Abraham says to him; Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, for fear you would say, 'I have made Abram rich.'" Abraham knew Who is source was and we can see where is faith lies.

Proverbs 23 verse 4 tells us "do not weary yourself to gain wealth, cease from your consideration of it." Matthew says the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things but all you have to do is seek Him first and you will have these things. He wants to give them to you. Now there are ways to prosper outside of God that aren't so noble and if you want to abandon God and go after those things you could. But if you want God to bless you then you have to follow His blueprint.

There are laws in God's Kingdom that are just as reliable as the law of gravity. One of those laws in the law of reciprocity. Proverbs the 11th chapter says this: There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered. So many people don't understand this concept. They think they don't have anything to give. Well if all you have is an old pocket knife, you've got something to start with. Just start somewhere. You can do damage to yourself by not giving if God has told you to give.

You have to decide who you want to bless you and if you want God to bless you then you must cooperate with Him and His ways. You must put Him first and you must believe that He rewards those who seek Him and you must be a giver.
